Striptease' is a uniquely seductive hosta with dark green leaves centred with a bright chartreuse that fades during summer to a light green. This central area is irregularly thinly brushed with a strip of pure white (that sometimes doesn't appear until plants are mature). This is a fabulous hosta that we've loved in our garden for a number of years. Hosta of the Year for 2005. Photo courtesy of Walters Gardens.
A groundbreaking and unbelievable sport of the popular?H. 'Gold Standard'.??Foliage features a gold center and green margins?seperated by a thin?white line.? Pale purple flowers in July-August are attractive to hummingbirds, butterflies and bees.? 2005 American Hosta Growers Association Hosta of the Year.
Slightly arching, dark green leaves with unique ellipse of white in center w/lighter green in between which ages to white in summer; nice substance. Hosta of the year 2005! Pinkish lavender flowers from purple buds in high summer. Plant in partial sun to moderate shade. Medium size hosta.

Why such a suggestive cultivar name? (You only need to look at the leaf design, think of female anatomy, and use your imagination). Leaf centers are chartreuse, delcaely rimmed in white and broadly edged in dark green. 2' tall x 4' wide. Lavender-violet flowers in mid summer.
This was the Hosta of the year in 2005. Pale gold centers thinly edged in white lie within the pointed green leaves. Pale violet flowers are held on 30" scapes in summer. A good clump of this can get 30" across. I'll stop now - we all know about Hostas.
Dark green leaf margins separated by an attractive fracture-thin white line from the avocado green center present a winning combination.
