Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Mrs Robb's Bonnet (Euphorbia amygdaloides var. robbiae) is a lovely, spreading ground cover that tolerates dry shade while displaying emerald to dark green whorled foliage topped with spikes of large lime green bracts and flowers in spring. Cut back flower stems after flowering to encourage rich, thick basal growth. Will do well under cedars where nothing else grows (once established)! Keep an eye on it in more favourable conditions as the clump can grow quickly!
?An invaluable cover for shady or sunny places, even poor, rocky soil? (G. S. Thomas); spreading roots and 9" stems support rosettes of darkest-green leathery leaves and 1" flat green flowers; an excellent plant. S-PSh/M-D
Grow this Euphorbia in a protected site with well drained soil in sun or shade. It will reward you with handsome somewhat glossy evergreen daphne-like foliage and airy sprays of yellow green flowers in spring. Mulch in colder zones.
