Excellent for a screen or as an accent plant. The color is dazzling! Wind tolerant, hardy and seems to be free of pests. Although, this plant does require staking until it's established in the landscape. Growth Rate 18" annually
Eventually a 30’ tree. Many people originally thought it would only get to 8’. Oops! Give it space. This lovely blue needled Cupressus comes from Arizona. It can be watered for a couple of years then doesn’t need summer water here.
Cupressus glabra 'Blue Ice' - An attractive almost silver variety of Arizona Cypress. Columnar plant but with age turns out to be a conical plant. Leaves are like stems going all directions. Plant will grow 2' a year. Nice accent plant. Likes dry feet.
The rich blue-gray foliage of this wonderful evergreen is a standout in the garden! Blue Ice Arizona Cypress is a pyramidal growing medium-sized evergreen with a medium rate of growth. This Arizona native needs good to excellent drainage and a full sun location for best results. Excellent drought tolerance once established.
Evergreen, deer resistant, fast growing screen. Wind and drought tolerant once established. Zones 7-9.
Blue Ice is blue. It is not a small conifer; it will grow to 25' before you know it and 15' wide, but if you have the space, it is a beauty. Can stand wind but needs decent drainage. Zone 5.
This form is often confused with C. arizonica but differs in that the outer bark sheds annually. Symmetrical and upright in growth and shape. The foliage is indeed frosty, silvery blue.

Ice, ice baby. That's what you get with this selection of Arizona Cypress whose fine scaly stems have an excellent steely blue color. It also has nice peeling red bark! This conifer grows upright to an eventual 30 - 40' with a pyramidal shape. It needs full sun and good drainage. It's very drought tolerant but also does well with summer irrigation, provided drainage is superb. Hardy to at least -10 °F.
Ghostly white-blue color make put this selection into a class of its own. Drought tolerant trees to 20' tall 12' wide. Make room for one.
