Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Bulbous perennial native to our Columbia River Gorge; sends up 18" BLUE flower spikes in late spring and early summer that really stand out against the grassy leaves bordered in cream! This can be a naturlizer in damp meadows at pond edges…it wants wet spring, damp early summer then dry late summer and fall. Camassia will thrive in clay soils and partners well with prairie grasses. Sun to light shade. Edible tubers (gophers like them too!)
A very pretty Northwest native by itself, with spikes of dark violet-blue, starry flowers. To top it off, this selection has a creamy-white margin along the leaves.
Blooms: dark blue, yellow stamen, this form has variegated foliage Zone 3-9. 18", PNW, part shade-sum, moist-dry
Green linear leaves are edged in soft yellow that make the perfect foil for the dark blue flowers on 15" stems. Summer dormant.
