I have this tree planted in part sun and part shade. It gets more or less depending on time of year, but amenable either way. Cinnamomum checkiangense aka Camphor Tree might make a lovely addition to your garden.
The bark is interesting too.
So tempting to help it peel, but I’m resisting. I can do it, pretty sure.
I planted this little guy in 2015. A quiet, steady performer.
The Camphor Tree looks health year round, regardless of pesky inclement weather. You just might need this good small tree.
