    Molinia caerulea 'Variegata' is a slow-growing deciduous perennial grass (or grassy in appearance) with gold, green, variegated and white foliage. In fall and summer purple flowers emerge. Features grassy texture. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and even moisture - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in average, clay, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something verticillium wilt resistant.

    Molinia caerulea ‘Variegata’, or Variegated Moor Grass, is a clumping perennial grass with central green stripes surrounded by creamy yellow. Airy spikes of subtle purple flowers appear in late summer before fading to golden brown into fall. Ornamental Grasses are low maintenance and grow well in most soil types. They look beautiful, adding color, height, and movement to your garden. Makes an excellent companion plant with contrasting foliage. This variety prefers acidic soils with consistent moisture. Full sun is ideal in cooler summer climates, but allow some shade in blistering, hot summers.
