Hosta ‘So Sweet’ displays fragrant white flowers and glossy dark green leaves edged creamy white, with chartreuse streaks. Rapid grower. A former Hosta of the year winner! Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils. A good partner for ferns. Although the flowers are attractive, Hostas, also called Plantain Lilies, are usually grown for their ornamental foliage.
1996 Hosta of the year large fragrant flowers and good variegation all in one plant.
A winter dormant clumping perennial. Large (20cm), heart shaped, glossy, green leaves with a broad, creamy-white, edging. In Summer tall spikes of white, perfumed, trumpet shaped lily flowers rise above the foliage. Provide with light shade, moisture, food and plenty of organic matter. Protect from slugs and snails. Can break dormancy as late as December.
