Large, dark-pink, crepe-paper flowers with pretty burgundy spots in the center make this rounded 3-6' shrub sparkle in summer; very nice in mass plantings, can tolerate drought but not severe cold. S/M-D/GDr
A low, rounded, evergreen shrub with narrow, gray-green leaves. Blooms in late spring with large, rose-purple flowers that have maroon spots at the base. Drought tolerant. Growth Rate medium
Evergreen shrub growing to 4' tall and wide, often shorter in stressful situations. The rosy-crimson flowers to 3" wide exhibit a dark purple blotch at the base of each petal, and bloom early to mid-summer. The flowers also feature a contrasting yellow cluster of stamens in the center. A fine choice for a limiting environment of salt spray and cool winds. Relatively long-lived, tolerant of heat and aridity as well as accepting many soil conditions.
Maroon points around a yellow center on an orchid background look like stars in an orchid sky floating above clouds of soft, green wavy-edged foliage. One of the most beautiful Cistus available, the Orchid Rockrose will spill gracefully down a hillside or tumble over rocks and charm you every time you see it.
