Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Stiffly erect plants growing to 4' with gray-green leaves and hot pink, pale-centered flowers 2-3" across.
Drought tolerant, super-tough & totally floriferous 'Victor Reiter' is one of the rockinest rock roses we know. A super versatile Mediterranean native, this dude can take sea spray, wind, fog, poor soil along with the heat. Spring through Summer the silvery-green felty foliage becomes completely covered in fanciful 2.5-3.5" wide, rose colored blooms with creamy centers & golden eyes. Growing to 3' x 3' 'Victor Reiter' looks fab combined with Lavender, Gilia capitata & Layia platyglossa. Hard pruning is not recommended, instead periodically trim back stems to keep neat. Plant in a sunny, well-drained spot. Perfect for hell strips, dry gardens & erosion control. Named for the revered San Francisco nurseryman who was known for his hybridized contributions to the Fuchsia world, including the fabulous 'Fanfare'.
Flowers bright pink with a paler center. Blooms in spring/early summer. Evergreen shrub. Drought tolerant.
