A classic! The new foliage is SPECTACULAR, rose-pink, mottled w/ deeper red-purple splotches. *Foliage is more green in part shade. Tolerates urban conditions & dry soil. It's thorny, so it's a good barrier plant! Easy & dependable. Medium growth rate. Some red berries in Fall. 2006 Great Plant Picks from Elisabeth Botanical Garden, a most prestigious award and yet, we cannot ship to MA or CT because it's escaped to the wild there.
