Fragrant Star Azalea is a broadleaf deciduous shrub with blue and green foliage. In spring white flowers emerge. Attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with mostly sun - mostly shade and even moisture - regular water. This deciduous Azalea has a mid-late season bloom of white, very fragrant flowers. This particular variety is more heat tolerant than most.
Very fragrant, white flowers bloom in spring. Blue green foliage is a nice compliment when not in bloom. Opens up additional possibilities in many gardens as it is very heat tolerant. Twiggy deciduous shrub. Grow in evenly moist, well drained acidic soils in full to filtered sun. Hardy to at least -25 °F.

A polyploid form of 'Snowbird' that was developed here at Briggs Nursery. It has the same bluish-green foliage and extremely fragrant white blooms, but both are larger than those found on the original issue. Heat tolerant. Early-midseason bloom.
