    Anemone hupehensis var. japonica 'Prinz Heinrich' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial with green foliage. In fall and summer pink flowers emerge. Attracts bees and butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - dappled shade and even moisture - regular water. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in acidic, alkaline, average, clay, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something seaside / salt tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

    This is a favorite at our nursery because it is so tough and requires almost no care, and looks even better for it. It is a very heavy flowering variety and we use it extensively as a cut flower. Prince Henry is quite colorful and is double flowering with crinkled petal edges for added texture. Plants spread slowly and so should be planted either in containers or in areas where they have space to fill in. Fertilize your plants with a slow release pelleted or granular fertilizer like Osmocote in March when the new shoots start to emerge. Right as the shoots are coming up, you can divide the plants into new locations.
