Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The large, 2" wide, widely flaring, upward facing flowers are of the purest white with the tips of each petal painted with an ever deepening pink. The arching, dark green, narrow strap-like foliage creates the perfect foil for this beautiful Yucca Do selection. Lily Pies Rainlily is from the La Bufa Rosa Group (syn. Labuffarosa, Labuffarosea) rainlily group known for its flower power and reliable garden performance. Plant them where you can enjoy them up close- near a path, at the front of the garden, or even in containers. Rainlilies are durable garden perennials that quickly multiply into a groundcovering mass of foliage and flowers, after the rains of course. Rainlilies are easy to enjoy and should be in everyone's garden. 3 plants per pot. In limited supply. Use rainlilies at the front of the border, as an accent plant, in rock gardens, or along stepping stones and walks. These are exceptionally hardy bulbous plants that multiply freely and are tolerant of a wide range of soil types assuming that they get average or better drainage. They do their best flowering when grown in full or mostly sun locations with moderate moisture. Rainlilies know the difference between rainwater and the water hose. Apparently there is a small amount of nitrates that fall with the rain that signals the plants to flower. Use them in mass plantings to great effect.
