Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Georgia Blue Veronica is a wonderful ground cover that creates a dense carpet of green foliage and is perfect for rock gardens, pathways, and forest settings. In the spring, a massive number of tiny blue flowers appear from the tips of each stem. We like to grow this alongside late blooming daffodils, as the yellow, green, and blue mixed together make for an amazing landscape.

This plant is amazingly deer resistant and is one of the few plants left in one section of our garden after everything else had been eaten to death by deer passing by to get water from a nearby pond. Although the deer will sometimes eat the tips of the new growth, this only ever serves to cause increased branching and denser growth. The deer have never caused any serious or long term damage to our plants, even when young.

Propagation
Veronica is divided by digging up clumps or by taking stem cuttings in the early spring before the flowers appear.
Zn 6. Blue flowers. Mat-forming habit.
A wonderful groundcover or edger that produces small powder blue flowers with white centres. It blooms just when Iberis is in full flower. They are adorable together for a display of white and blue. A wonderful, dense, and quickly colonizing plant, 'Georgia Blue' develops chocolate bronze tints to the foliage in cool weather. There are various creeping veronicas that make great groundcovers and container plants with their attractive foliage and cute purple or blue flowers.
An evergreen, ground covering perennial. Small, dark green, glossy leaves clothe slender, wiry stems which form a ground hugging mat to 5cm high. Throughout spring small, brilliant blue, saucer shaped flowers with a white eye are produced in great abundance. A delightful little plant ideal for trailing among rocks or on the edge of paths.

Cultivar selected in the former Soviet Georgia by Ray Lancaster. Mounding perennial to 6? high and spreading slowly on procumbent stems. Young foliage tinted red-bronze turning to rich green as season progresses. Intense blue flowers with a white eye cover the stems in early spring and again in fall. We have used it successfully in moderate shade as a small-scale woodland groundcover. Full sun or part shade with moderate water. Hardy to 5F. Soviet Georgia.
Georgia Blue Speedwell makes excellent groundcover and covers itself in rich sky blue flowers from spring into summer. This easily grown perennial is tough, versitle, and easy to grow.

Handsome purple-backed foliage AND pretty clusters of small blue flowers to complement them in late spring--what more could you ask of a groundcover?! SUN/Med
Georgia Blue's true blue starry-eyed flowers above mounding foliage in late spring make this a good choice as a bulb companion. Plants grow to 6-8" and spreads modestly. As a bonus, the semi-evergreen foliage takes on a burgundy cast in cool temperatures.
