This fabulous Verbena produces radiant, silky-purple flowers that truly glow above the deep-green foliage from May until frost! The perfect groundcover for the low-maintenance or container garden, this wide-spreading 2-3' perennial reaches just 6-12" tall. This pollinator magnet looks great planted en masse or mixed with other perennials with silver foliage or white flowers. To get the most blooms pinch this perennial back regularly. S/M
Verbena canadensis 'Homestead Purple' blooms its heart out from May until fall with slightly fragrant, lavender-magenta flowers held above glossy dark green foliage. It's one of the most popular trailing verbenas, vigorously spreading, and a great choice for the low maintenance garden. The name comes from the location in Georgia where two horticulture profs did an impromtu U-turn to make a collection and has gone on to fame and glory. This one may not always survive cold wet winters but is worth. Improve your chances by providing good drainage in dry sites.
The Homestead Purple is a great spreaded with clusters of deep purple from June to November. Growth Rate medium
An excellent perennial ground cover for sun. Attractive, softly haired foliage grows flat to the ground. Dense, large, flattish heads of saturated purple flowers are produced all year round in profusion. Plant with Verbenas of other colours to achieve your prefered combination.

An old and reliable perennial Verbena that produces large clusters of deep purple blooms from spring to fall. Spreads and slowly creates a dense groundcover or as a trailing plant in containers. A good choice for butterfly gardens. The trailing Verbenas are one of the earliest flowering perennials in our gardens and provide the early bird butterflies with plenty of choice nectar at a time when few other perennials are in flower. Homestead Verbena was discovered by Allan Armitage and Michael Dirr on an old homestead in Georgia. What a discovery that must've been!
Collected in Georgia from a garden where it had flourished for years unattended, 'Homestead Purple' has showy violet purple blooms all summer and fall. Its vigorous growth and abundant flowers make it an excellent ground cover. The sweet lily-like perfume is appreciated best in the early evening hours.
Bright purple flowers. Sprawling habit.
A heat-tolerant everblooming verbena with deep purple flowers on spreading 10" x 24" plants. Not uncommon but a very useful plant.
