Maianthemum stellatum is a lovely rhizomatous perennial that forms upright and slightly arching stems with lance-shaped green leaves and small, terminal clusters of star-like white flowers in spring. It is native to much of North America (including BC) except for the US southeast. 'Blue Dune' is a special form with very attractive bluish green leaves that makes an effective and beautiful groundcover from part sun to full shade. Plants may develop red berries by fall.
