Salvia coerulea 'Black and Blue' is a fast-growing broadleaf deciduous perennial with green foliage. In fall and summer blue flowers emerge. This sage has medium green, aromatic leavesand deep cobalt BLUE flowers with black calyces in spikes early summer to froston tall stems 3-5’ and filling 3-4’in width. Has an airy, open feeling soit is easy to find a lightly shaded spot (sun in cooler areas) in the garden that it will shine in! Decent soil drainage, average water... hummers& butterflies will seek this out, deer usually leave it alone.
