Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Gorgeous purplish-pink flowers with spotted throat are reminiscent of foxglove flowers but held in loose spikes over a long period. S/M
Colonizes an area quickly with a series of attractive basal rosettes, with maroon tinges in the fuzzy foliage – so be careful where you plant it! Stems up to 3’ display beautiful pink-rose trumpets with yellow throats (good in a vase!) over a very long season.
Named for the Russian botanist Joseph Rehmann, Rehmannia has been classified both a Scroph and a Gesnariad and the debate is still not settled. R. elata bears large pink bells with yellow spotted throats, unlike Rehmannia glutinosa this is tender here and need to be wintered in the greenhouse, however it blooms for months and is worth the hassle to drag it in. ZONE 7
A spreading, easy to grow, perennial ground cover, for light shade. Spires of semi-pendant, dusty pink, yellow throated, foxglove flowers, are held on erect stems above the flat rosettes of leaves. A tough, hardy plant, quickly forming large patches. A large colony in mass flower makes a magnificent feature in any garden

One of my favorites, Rehmannia produces spikes of gloxinia-shaped flowers with a delicious raspberry color; the yellow throats dotted inside with carmine. The textured leaves grow in rosettes and turn deep red in fall, spreading readily by runners. Listed in a 1935 book.
Chinese Foxglove. Not a true foxglove but similar tubular flowers albeit individually larger and more showy. This is an evergreen perennial which tolerates some dry but really jams in a good moisture retentive soil where it can bloom from May until Fall. Good cut as well.
