Penstemon 'Prairie Dusk' is a broadleaf deciduous or semi-evergreen perennial with green foliage. In summer purple flowers emerge. One of the better hybrids, this being a cross between Penstemon strictus and P. barbatus. This has low water needs which is a plus and an exceptionally long flowering time - like all summer - which is an even bigger plus. Flower stems are less than 2' with large brilliant rose-pink flowers.
