Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Paeonia 'Pastel Splendor' has creamy white to white flowers with bold, deep red thumb prints at the base of each petal. Itoh peonies are intersectional hybrids between tree peonies (P. suffruticosa) and garden peonies (P. lactiflora) making outstanding herbaceous perennials with huge flowers in many unusual colours. A mature plant can have over 50 blooms! The foliage is like a tree peony and emerges rich red, gradually turning green.
Is an interesting single soft pink with ivory highlights. The center of the flower has deep maroon spots. A absolute beautiful flower in late April-May.
