This rarity is the most 'un-fern like' fern! Leaves are a blue green, very fine lace…they remind me of fennel foliage, only prettier! A candidate for the lightly shaded woodland garden, this lovely, deciduous fern has delicate leaves to 12" tall on slowly creeping rhizomes to about 3' wide. From China, rocky slopes at 14,000 ft…how bout a partly shaded rock garden too? We need more experience with this fern, but we are recommending decent drainage and some summer moisture, average woodland conditions seem to make it happy!
