More upright and compact (to 4-5' x 2') with far showier gold banded foliage and dramatic burgundy plumes in fall, this ?show-stopper? from Joy Creek is great for border or container. S/M PP15193
Zn 6. Dense upright grass / green & yellow bands
Upright, compact habit. Dense, dramatic gold striping accents every leaf of this bright green leaves from crown to tip. Burgundy inflorences provide interesting winter accent. Growth Rate Moderate
Gold Bar' has the boldest variegation you've yet seen in a Miscanthus. In fact, there may be more gold than green in this cultivar. It also has a compact and upright habit to only four feet making it good for pots and small gardens. Burgundy flower plumes rise just above the foliage in fall. Great for winter interest since the decorative form, albeit straw-coloured, usually lasts until spring.
Dense tufts of foliage artistically ornamented with myriad bands of gold and green on the blades. Slower growing to 4 ft tall & 2 ft wide. Thanks to Joy Creek Nursery.
Each spiky leaf is banded horizontally with bright gold, creating a spotted effect on the compact, symmetrical plant. Bold, burgundy plumes in fall. 4' x 2'
