This gorgeous native of Taiwan typically grows 4-7' tall and 2-3' feet wide. White trumpet-shaped 8-12" long flowers are sweetly scented, and sometimes tinged with red or purple on the outside. 6-30 flowers may be produced by each plant. The fruits are showy seed pods which maintain interest in the garden after the flowers are gone, and make a lovely addition to dried flower arrangements.
Intoxicatingly FRAGRANT 6" long white flowers are striped with purple!! Can you say 'elegant'? Summer stems 4-6' – this luscious lily thrives in the lightly shaded woodland garden AND it can self sow, which can only be a good thing! Seed heads are very ar
This easy, heat-loving beauty looks like a very tall, very slender Easter lily and smells even better. It bears up to 12 narrow trumpets atop 5-7 foot stalks in late summer and seed-pod candelabras all winter. Introduced in 1880 from Taiwan (where it's now endangered), it didn't catch on till re-introduced by E.H. Wilson in 1918. Some say it's hardy in zone 5, but we guarantee it for 6b-9S(10WC) only. In the right spot it self-sows happily and can bloom from seed its first year
Long white fragrant trumpets are held on tall sturdy stems in mid to late summer. One of the tallest lilies that may reach 7' or more. Extremely easy to grow and readily naturalizes. A favorite pass-along heirloom that will adorn your garden for years to come. A Dawn Stover Nifty Fifty favorite herbaceous plant! Dawn is a Research Associate at Stephen F Austin in Nacogdoches, TX and currently maintains the Mast Arboretum plant collection.
