Nursery contributed plant descriptions

In all but tropical climates Miss Huff is a dieback shrubby perennial that emerges in late spring with a mass of woody semi upright stems to 3’ tall and at least that wide. Summer and fall are celebrated with lively clusters of bright tri-color flowers of orange, yellow and rose non stop. Hummer and butterfly magnet! Drought tolerant, deer/critter resistant, sun loving; also gorgeous spilling from a pot. One of the hardiest Lantana. Do NOT cut back until spring.
Georgia gardener Miss Huff discovered this fantastic lantana and passed it along! Oceans of hot pink, orange and yellow flowers bloom continuously from early summer to frost attracting bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. This free-flowering wonder dominates the landscape; tall and amazingly hardy, great with salvia 'Henry Duelberg'. Poisonous.
Butterflies and hummingbirds are ecstatically happy in gardens that include Lantana 'Miss Huff', with her orange-yellow-pink, verbena-like blossoms. An old selection that originated in the Georgia garden of .... Miss Huff herself, this die-back perennial emerges in spring and forms clumps to 3 ft tall x up to 10 ft wide (though easily contained in smaller spaces), flowering early and continuing until frost. Needs full sun, good drainage and regular summer water. Frost hardy to 5 °F, upper USDA zone 7. Said to be deer resistant.
The hardiest Lantana on the market, Miss Huff thumbs her nose at cold weather all the way to zone 7! A wonderfully free flowering Lantana whose clusters of flowers open yellow, fade to orange, coral, and finally pink and are born from summer to frost. An excellent choice for butterflies! Miss Huff Lantana comes highly recommended by plantsman Greg Grant and is also a 2003 Georgia Gold Medal winner. Lantana are only second to Porterweed in our garden for theirability to attract butterflies! Lantana are loaded with flower power and normally flower continuously from late spring to frost. This durable and reliable perennial is moderately drought tolerant, deer resistant, salt tolerant, and is generally pest free. For the best results provide your Lantana with an average to well draining soil with average moisture in an area that gets 6 hours or more of sun per day. They can be cut back to near ground level in winter.
