Another lovely discovery from Plant Delights, this delicate looking Iris is actually quite sturdy and adaptable. Smaller than the species, these top out at about 20" on slowly expanding rhizomes. May flowers in purplish tones heavily infused with bright copper really cause some jaw dropping in the garden! Evergreen foliage in all but coldest climates, full sun in cooler areas, part shade in warmer zones. Any soil, not at all picky...from sandy loam with regular water to submerged in your pond...this is a 'wide spectrum' Iris! Z6
