The first PINK H. arborescens, this 3-4' shrub is an invincible ?belle? with huge flower clusters emerging (on new wood) dark hot pink, changing to rich clear pink ALL season; even the dried ?mops? are pretty! S-PSh/M PPAF
A PINK flowered Annabelle Hydrangea! The flowers of this exciting introduction open hot pink, mature to bright pink, and are produced from mid-summer to fall. Foliage is large, dark green, and very healthy turning yellow in fall. The propagation of, and/or the sale of plant parts is prohibited without a license.
It's the pink 'Annabelle' hydrangea! Invincibelle Spirit is as hardy and adaptable as 'Annabelle' but produces loads of pink flowers from early summer to frost. It's a reliable bloomer in the north and is also heat tolerant. Our goal is to raise $1,000,000 for breast cancer research. $1.00 will be sent to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for each Invincibelle Spirit sold. We encourage you to donate as well. BCRF is dedicated to preventing breast cancer and finding a cure in our lifetime by funding clinical and translational research worldwide. For more about BCRF, visit www.bcrfcure.org. Features: Rich pink flowers bloom from early summer to frost. Dark pink buds open to hot pink flowers which then turn soft pink as they mature, finally changing to green at the end of their life cycle. Very hardy. Reliable bloomer. Native. Tips and Uses: Pink summer flowers add rich color to summer landscapes. Excellent native plant for mixed borders or perennial gardens. Plant Care: Adaptable; prefers moist well-drained soils. Cut back in late winter/early spring and apply controlled release fertilizer; liquid feed in summer.
Bright pink ball flowers mid-summer to frost. Blooms on new wood, cut back to 2' early spring. Zones 4-9. ppaf
'Invincibelle Spirit' is the first pink flowered form of 'Annabell' Hydrangea - thus the various plays on word -- the 'Bell' of 'Annabell' but in the French spelling because 'belle' means Beautiful! Aptly named! An easy to grow Hydrangea, she blooms superbly and is just as dependable and cold hardy as 'Annabelle' (the best known form of H. arborescens) but with a profusion of deep pink flowers, up to 10" in diameter from early summer to frost. And it's heat tolerant to boot. A percentage of the sales from this plant, through the Trademark Holder, funds critical cancer research. Blooms every year even when cut back hard, thus can be used for a hedge that needs periodic pruning. PPAF
