Even earlier blooming than Helleborus 'Jacob', the hybrid of Helleborus niger can bloom as early as late October....yes, really. Compact 10" plants with pristine 3" white flowers with sweet yellow stamens should be in full view for the December holidays, continuing through the winter. It is happiest in a well drained soil in a protected spot from winter wind (perhaps near the entrance you use regularly…so you don't miss it's sweet charm).

Slightly cupped, huge, pure white, outward-facing flowers turn to light green. Strong stems and dark green foliage. The largest of the HGC nigers and the toughest for the landscape with loads of garden presence. Blooms over a long period from mid December until April with multiple waves of flowers.
