This strikingly beautiful 9-12' clumping bamboo was collected in Jiuzhaigou Park in Sichuan, China. If planted where it receives sufficient morning light it will reward you in spring with intense, deep copper-red new culms which are stunning contrasted with the small green leaves. Older culms eventually turn yellow. The leaves tend to curl against heat and cold, so a protected spot is best; excellent in a container! PSh/M
