Said to be one of Darrell Probst's best hybrids. The light pink spurs surround the deeper center petals. The flowers appear above the mottled foliage. Wonderful.
Pink Champagne' has large soft-pink to clear-pink flowers over decorative foliage. An amazing sight in the spring. Also called "Elf Orchid". Plants can grow to 15 inches tall. Epimedium are among the easiest perennials to grow. They thrive in medium to heavy shade, and when established, are highly drought tolerant. They are deer resistant and are seldom bothered by voles or other critters. They can be used as effective groundcovers or shade garden accents.
One of Darrel Probst's loveliest introductions, this dainty free blooming hybrid offers caps with deep shrimp pink cups with arching pinky cream spurs on 14" stems in mid-late spring, with occasional flowers later. The foliage forms 12" clumps and has a lovely russet bronze mottling to the olive green leaves. Deer resistant, tolerates dry shade and lives forever!
Said to be one of the finest Epimedium, bred by Darrell Probst and I'd have to agree. Large soft pink flowers with raspberry cup are held well above the heavily mottled foliage in large numbers. A dependable re-bloomer for us. The evergreen foliage will turn all-green later in the season. A strong grower and clumping.
Floating above the red-spattered foliage are a plethora of pink and raspberry-dipped flowers with long, arched, yellow-tipped spurs. Vigorous, floriferous, and re-blooming! 12" tall mounds send flowers up to 16" high to hover in masses. One of the finest! Evergreen and clumping. Minimum temperature: -30 °F
E. leptorrhizum x E. pubescens- Mottled leaves in spring topped w/ heavily floriforous panicles of pink & raspberry flowers w/ pink sepals capping the tops of each widely arched, yellow spurs. A stunning show! Height: 12". Zones 5-9. Evergreen.
