Pink Elf' has spidery light pink flowers with very long dark bronze spurs. The medium green, deciduous leaves have spiny-toothed, oval leaflets on wiry stems and form an attractive foliage mound. New leaves in spring emerge beige with a red tinge, mature to green and turn red in fall. Epimedium are among the easiest perennials to grow. They thrive in medium to heavy shade, and when established, are highly drought tolerant. They are deer resistant and are seldom bothered by voles or other critters.
A great cross of Epimedium leptorrhizum and Epimedium pubescens from hybrider Robin White. Evergreen, deer-resistant foliage topped in early spring with an abundance of tiny blossoms of soft pink petals accented with a dark shrimp pink on 12" stems. This little Barrenwort grows and spreads quite quickly, which is good if you don't have time to be patient.
An impish little selection with rather narrow, long soft pink wings and rose-pink cups, which at times are copper tinted. Clumping habit and winter dormant.
Originating from a Epimedium leptorrhizum and Epimedium pubescens cross, this delightful Robin White hybrid makes a vigorously spreading clump. Dappled with green and auburn shades, the evergreen leaves loll beneath a fairy's fest of pink flowers marked by purple tinges and bronze-colored cups on thin stiff stems.
E. leptorrhizum x E. pubescens- 1st flush of leaves emerge 5" tall dappled with green & auburn colors topped by very floriforous small, airy pink flowers w/ each flower highlighted w/ a dark bronze cup. 2nd flush of leaves 12" tall. Zones 5-9. Evergreen.
