Dryopteris erythrosora ‘Prolifica’ is a semi-evergreen fern with reddish new foliage in spring which turns to green for summer, and coppery-red again in fall. Spreads slowly by underground stems. Ferns thrive in neutral to acidic, loose, richly organic soil. Excellent for mass plantings, rock gardens, containers, in woodlands, and naturalized landscapes.
Finely cut, narrow, leathery fronds whose young fronds are a pink bronze color that age to dark green; Very attractive. Plant in partial sun to full shade & well drained, moist soil. 12-24 inches tall. Zones 5 to 8. Height: 14” to 16”. Evergreen.
