Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Rich, bright-blue flowers open successively over a long and sometimes flower-poor period in late summer into autumn, followed closely by red fall color; shrubbier (to 2-4') than C. plumbago and with finer-textured leaves. S/M
Clouds of sky-blue flowers coat this small, evergreen sub-shrub through the summer. Handsome blue-green leaves when not in flower. Full to part sun with regular summer water. Usually 2 ft tall and as wide. Cold hardy in USDA zone 7.
This evergreen plumbago shrub hails from the Himalayas and offers a low mound of foliage to about three feet high with a greater spread. In late summer the plants are covered with bright purplish blue flowers held in clusters at the ends of the branches. The leaves are dull green, thick textured and have purple margins. Tolerant of poor soils. Blooms on new wood so if you need to prune it do so in late winter to allow for flowers the next summer.
Evergreen and low, to 3', with many-branching stems that feature dense, thick-textured ciliate leaves of dull green with purple tinged margins. Bright blue flowers appear in terminal clusters, somewhat later, from July into late fall. Hardy to 0F. Himalayas.
The 2-3" long leaves are black-green and spirally arranged on the stems. A rotund-columnar form of Japanese Plum Yew. Needs moist soil when young, then is drought tolerant. A deer-resistant substitute for Japanese Yew. (Note this is not a true Yew, but it's common name is Plum Yew.)
