Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A compact, dwarf, horizontal selection that blooms continuously from summer to fall. Great as a accent plant or in mass as a border. A must have in your butterfly garden.
This exciting new Butterfly Bush produces loads of dark bluish purple, fragrant conical spikes of flowers from summer to fall on a weeping to mounding plant. Lo' & Behold® Purple Haze is sterile and so there won't be any unwanted surprise seedlings. Butterfly Bushes are easily grown, free flowering butterfly magnets and are moderately drought tolerant once well established. Deadheading is not required but removing spent flowers will help the plant look 'cleaner'. Buddleias can grow to become large shrub-like perennials in mild climates but most grow as herbaceous perennials in zone 6 and colder. In some states and counties Buddlejas are considered invasive, please check with your local state offices before purchasing. Buddleja is commonly spelled as Buddleia.
