Yushania boliana is a fast-growing evergreen bamboo with green foliage. Features grassy texture. Grows well with sun - dappled shade and regular water. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in average, clay and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant, humidity tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

Nursery contributed plant descriptions
Borinda boliana is one of our favorite of the Borindas. We have found it to be far hardier than is officially listed, with minor damage starting at around 5 degrees. In the winter of 2013/2014 we had temperatures ranging from -5 degrees warming to 25 degrees lasting for several days. Our Borinda boliana had only minor leaf damage to the top half of the plant with new foliage completely replacing the damaged portions by early spring. Every other Borinda species was killed all the way to the ground and had to start over from the roots, but during the summer shooting season the boliana still doubled its height with new shoots.
Borinda boliana also has the potential to grow very large, with the strong and flexible canes growing up to two or more inches in diameter. Although this species is considered to be rare and was only introduced fairly recently, it has become popular with most bamboo growers due to its large habit and long, wide leaves.
One of the largest and fastest growing clumping bamboo. Feathery green leaves and graceful arching canes that are pale blue in color. Makes for an excellent hedge or screen. Growth Rate fast
