Berberis temolaica plant details

Berberis temolaica is a broadleaf deciduous shrub with blue foliage. In spring yellow flowers emerge followed by red fruit. Features glaucous texture. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - dappled shade and regular - occasional water. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in acidic, average, clay, gritty, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant.

One of the most striking barberries (Hillier), the young shoots ; leaves of this arching 4-8' shrub are bluish-grey giving "a delightful blend of colour with it pale-yellow flowers" (G.S.Thomas) ; bloom-covered red berries. Sun/Med
This blue (really dusty blue) barberry has the most beautiful foliage of any barberry. 8' shrub has almost shocking large blue foliage. Flowers are 1/2" wide and sofe yellow in April.
