Nursery contributed plant descriptions

An over the top foliage plant. This perennial has 6”-12”rounded glossy deep green leaves all summer. In late spring the deep purple flowers appear under the huge foliage. By late summer the apricot shaped and colored fruit appear.
Clumping perennial with incredible large glossy leaves to a foot across on 2’ stems (each plant has one stem, so each year more stems). May maroon flowers hanging below leaves, followed by red or yellow fruit. Part to full shade; moist, organic, acidic soil (resents going dry!). Elegant, artsy, lusted after! USDA Z6-8 3” pot
Clusters of the darkest red glossy flowers are hidden under shining, light green, 12-inch, lobed umbrella leaves in spring. It prefers rich soil and summer water, but ours has tolerated mild neglect. It's nice elevated on a terrace or in a tall pot, or in a pot on a table so that the flowers that hang beneath can be seen! Or you can plant it on the ground where it will require you to be lilliputian to appreciate its exotic blooms. Or you could do deep knee bends to have a look (your daily exercise), or just prostrate yourself before them - oh so worth it!! Minimum temperature: 0°F
This species boasts large, vigorous, lobed, star-shaped, umbrellas of foliage that shine in the shade garden with a glossy lustre. The flowers are red with narrow, curved petals that produce red-orange fruits. A clumping rather than spreading species. Moist organic soils and good shade.
Blooms: spring-summer, red,/ glossy green foliage Zone 5-9. 3', China, part shade-shade, moist, well drained
This is an impressive plant - truly one to give the shade garden some visual impact. Big leaves get up to 18" across with bizarre clusters of red flowers held beneath which are followed by red "tomatoes" if you are lucky. Rich moist soil in shade.
Large leaves, 1ft across for shade, slug proof.
