(DWARF FORMOSA LILY) Same sublime lily in a smaller package! 18-24” stems loaded with full size flowers that are 3-6” long, very fragrant white trumpets striped with red wine hues. They bloom mid summer to early fall and have brilliant gold stamens and are held nicely horizontally on the stems. Easy to grow in good garden soil with regular moisture in sun to light shade. Reseeds politely. USDA Z5 3” pot
This burgundy-stemmed dwarf lily has large, long, burgundy flower buds that break into fragrant white trumpets enlivened by pink and burgundy exterior streaks, and a yellow-green throat! Narrow, strappy leaves form a basal clump. Well-drained soil preferred, after all it is an alpine from the mountains of Taiwan (formerly Formosa). Imagine coming upon them on a mountainside! The rock garden would be a pretty good simulation of their native environment. 10-12"T x 8-10" W. August - September bloom. Minimum temperature: -10?F
Very garden worthy little Lily descended from a Crug Farm collection in Taiwan. This is a fairly compact species with grassy foliage and carnival hat flowers - big white trumpets with maroon stripes on the outside. Increases well from offsets and blooms when young. It's all good.
Very fragrant flowers flushed pink outside, white with yellow throat. Choice shorter lilly.
