Nursery contributed plant descriptions

?Crimson is not a common colour in border flowers? but each of the many curving stems of this 2' perennial produces ?a lovely dark crimson very double dense ?pin cushion? 2" across? (G.S. Thomas); eye-catching. S/M/GDr
This long blooming perennial has tufts of green foliage that hold aloft airy stems topped with pincushion-like flowers in magenta to burgundy red. A great ?see through" plant like Verbena bonariensis, you can plant it in mid border as its height would suggest or you can bring it right to the front where you can see through it to the rest of the garden thus creating a bit of dynamism.
A clumping evergreen perennial. Dense clumps of hairy, mid-green, deeply toothed leaves. Slender branching stems arise during Spring,Summer and Autumn, bearing pincushion-like flowers of an unusual magenta-burgundy colour. A delightful little plant that is totally unique. Remove spent stems to promote flowering.

So impossible to capture in a photograph, this is one of the longest blooming plants I know! How can I get you to try one of the most rewarding of all perennials? Take my word for it. So reliably perennial & long-lived, you’ll get loads of dark cherry red pincushions from May till Fall. Carefree & always handsome, it self-sows & attracts muchas pollinators. Happiest in part shade & very pretty against a background of silver foliage. A Mediterranean native which goes deciduous in Winter. To 2’ tall by 3’ wide.
Summer scabious-like reddish flowers, hardy perrenial. Full Sun.
