Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Upright arching stems to 6’ or taller, slender dark green foliage, flowers, red with purple corollas and extra-long stamens, are tipped slightly horizontal making hummers happy! Blooms summer>fall; part shade, rich moist soil. Tall stems often live over so check before you cut! Great background plant.
Interesting, tall-growing fuchsia with reddish stems, glossy green leaves, and an abundance of 3” hanging flowers of cerise and purple. Where temperatures remain above 15º F, it can be used to clamber up a shrub or a trellis; or it can be sited where its long arching branches will get all the attention. Sun to shade in rich soil with regular water. One of the hardiest of the species Fuchsia, should resprout from 0F. USDA zone 7. Far superior to Fuchsia twodoorsedanii.
We have a great selection of Fuchsias including 4-door, coupe, and hatschbach. I know, that was terrible. But that is the first thing that came to mind when I first heard someone say the name of this Fuchsia without seeing it spelled. This is one cool Fuchsia. It is rather similar to F. regia subsp. regia overall but with even narrower leaves and delicate flowers - it may appreciate having something to scramble into. So far it seems quite hardy, the roots handling at least 10 °F provided it is well mulched.
Great foliage on this tall red-n-purple fuchsia. Hummer's love it.
