Blue Fescue Grass is a very popular ornamental clump grass for its attractive year round color of silvery blue and is commonly found at the base of larger plants or in rows along pathways. It is one of the more drought tolerant clump grasses and is perfect for xeric landscapes. Recently, Blue Fescue has become a popular alternative to common sod grass for lawn plantings to save water. Clumps are planted close together and mowed once each year in early spring.
