Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The large (6") leaves of this offspring of a long (thousands of years!) cultivated vine (vigorous to 30') are deeply lobed, rounded and claret-red to purple (somewhat greener on young plants), lovely with gray-leaved plants and mauve-flowers. S/M
The claret grape has pretty deep purple leaves all summer. In fall, the foliage will turn lovely red. The small 3” clusters of deep purple sour grapes are inedible, but attractive.
The white young leaves turn purple-plum as they mature, then to dark purple in fall. Growth Rate fast, 12"+ annually
A charming wine grape, deciduous, with dark purple foliage in summer that turns bright scarlet in autumn for two seasons of spectacular color. Late-ripening grapes are edible with sour skins and sweet fruit. Happiest in full sun where it can ramble freely up onto an arbor or shrub, reaching up to 15 ft tall, the size easily controlled by early spring pruning back to a few buds. Good drainage and summer water to establish are best. Frost hardy to -20F, USDA zone 5.
Wonderful dusky green foliage turns a rich purple in fall on this grape vine. Grown for its ornamental value, the grapes are very dark in color and complement the foliage as they ripen in fall. makes a very nice backdrop for orange or yellow fall colored shrubs. Sorry, this plant may not be shipped to California.
Leaf edges scarlet red turning deep purple in fall. Red purple, edible (but not sweet) fruit. Zones 6-9.
Small leaves of bronze green turn vibrant purples and red with cooler fall temperatures.
