Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Selected for 1) its red-tinted new growth, 2) its speedy growth rate, and good 8-9' form, 3) its white flowers 4) its bright-red fruit late fall to early winter and 5) its bright-wine-red fall color...enough?! S/M PPAF
This plant for its densely branched, upright form; good growth rate; and attractive, red-tinted new foliage. This native shrub produces handsome white flowers in mid- to late May, followed by clusters of ornamental bright red fruit that persist from late fall through early winter. The foliage turns a brilliant red in fall. This selection has been verified by Dr. Edward R. Hasselkus of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, as a true V. trilobum, not a hybrid — unlike many other cultivars in the trade. Matures 8' to 10' in height with a 6' to 8' spread. Needs cross-pollination for best fruit production.
Has beautiful purple-red new growth in spring. By fall the leaves will turn wine red . The flowers will appear in May and will be followed by long lasting red fruit.
