Compact form with high gloss, contorted emerald green, evergreen foliage; this made-for-the-shade, dense shrub is eventually 3’ tall and maybe twice as wide left to its own devices. Male cultivar should not fruit. Easy to grow, not fussy about soils, average water, takes some dry shade when established. Nice foundation or shiny specimen for woodland, Asian Garden.
