A Cistus introduction originally collected in Mallorca by Kevin Hughes and an accommodating, evergreen olive relation, to an eventual 8-10' tall x 5; wide. Very architectural, dressed with long, dark green leaves, clusters of small, white, sweetly fragrant flowers in spring, and olive-like fruits. Makes an excellent small specimen tree or hedge. Tolerant of coastal conditions, many types of soil, and summer drought. Enjoys sun or part shade in hottest climates. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7.
