Nursery contributed plant descriptions

White flowers spring, persistent red berries fall, no pollinator needed. Hardy to zone 5.
A very cold hardy Viburnum that is definitely a 4-Season plant. From late spring into summer, it has beautiful dark green leaves and creamy white blooms that are 5" wide, flat head clusters. In mid to late summer it has bright red berries, that look to be dipped in lacquer and are, as the name might suggest, the highlight of the plant. The glossy red fruit are born in abundance from Sept. thru Nov. (no pollinator necessary.) The foliage in autumn is rusty red which sets off the berries to best effect. Wonderful in the border or as a stand alone specimen. You just can't go wrong with this winner. This selection may be the hardiest cultivar available, surviving after exposure to -25 F temperatures. May self seed in minimally managed areas. PP12870

This selection of Linden Viburnum provides a showy late spring display of white flower cymes followed by heavily laden clusters of shiny red berries in late summer that persist until December. Grows 6-8' tall and wide and is deer resistant. For best pollination plant with another dilatatum cultivar such as 'Michael Dodge'.
This variety has white flowers appearing in late spring followed by fruit that turns a brilliant red in the fall.
