Semi-tuberous perennial, to 3 ft tall x 18” wide, its closest relative being the other yellow flowered species, I. stenantha. Long flowering in the shady garden with consistent moisture. This glossy, deep green leaved form is leaf hardy into the upper 30s° F and most probably a good garden candidate to mid USDA zone 8. Does not seem to set seed.
