Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A third generation selection from particularly silver parentage, plants from our own garden. The interspecies crosses of H. argutifolius x H. lividus are grown for their handsome, silver-grey-green foliage with white veins and hints of purple -- this form adding blue and purple accents to the mix. Flowers of lime-green flushed pink appear in late spring. To only 18-24" tall and wide in full to half sun. Accepts regular garden water and occasional summer drought as well. Frost hardy in USDA zone 6.
