Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Is a fully double cream -colored gardenia. This 4' plant is said to be much hardier than earlier forms. The 3-4' shrubs have glossy foliage along with the pretty fragrant flowers.
Beautiful creamy-white, almost velvet looking, flowers that are highly fragrant. Slow growing evergreen shrub...blooms steadily for up to four weeks in early summer. It is possible that you could get more blooms again as the weather cools in fall!!
Semi-double flowers, extremely fragrant, almost intoxicatingly so. Few plants rival a gardenia in bloom, whether in a pot or the garden. Well-behaved shrub to almost head-hign, but performs best in warm climates or against a rockwall for a heat sink at night.
Supposedly a bit more hardy than 'Kleim's Hardy' and 'Shooting Star' and with a double bloom. Be sure to plant it near your doorways so you can smell it as you pass. Utterly delicious. "The new variety is characterized by a resistance to cold, tolerance of warmer temperatures resulting in longer blooming periods, high floriferousness, and a compact, condensed appearance," per the patent license

Tough, hardy, and lovely gardenia for USDA zone 7, down to 0 °F, really! Wonderfully fragrant, double white flowers in June and July, and occasionally in autumn when temperatures cool down. Compact evergreen shrub, to 3', blooms in full to half sun with normal garden water. Developed by the late Chuck Hayes and Dan Milbocker at the Virginia Beach Research Station, VA.
