Nursery contributed plant descriptions

More subtle form of variegated Eleagnus than E. 'Gilt Edge'. This tough adaptable evergreen will create a show year round.
This delightful and drought tolerant 6-10' evergreen offer the year-round foliar interest of leaves brightly variegated with gold and yellow plus fragrant (though tiny) flowers in autumn... great hedge/screen/accent. S/M-D
Variegated olive relative, this with striking center markings of yellow and gold on dark green foliage ... or perhaps better described as yellow and gold foliage with a narrow, dark green margin. By either description a striking evergreen shrub, over time to 10 ft tall x 10 ft wide, with fragrant, white to cream flowers in the fall. Enjoys well-drained soil and average summer water. Plant in sun, where it holds its color very well, or part shade. Frost hardy to 0F, USDA zone 7.
Similar to the species but with an irregular blending of gold, yellow and green foliage. Like all Eleagnus pungens, it makes a great hedge. Looks very similar to 'Eleador' but might be more fragrant since it's a cultivar of E. pungens rather than a hybrid. Eleagnus pungens is Native to Japan and China.
