Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A perennial nasturtium from southern Chile. The foliage is gray blue green in spring-early summer. The stems are only 18 inches long and grow quickly in spring, but will totally disappear by early July. The flowers are golden yellow and look like small nasturtium flowers. Tropaeolum polyhyllum is extraordinarilly difficult to find in gardens let alone nurseries. We don't have a large supply but want to make the plant available. T. polyphyllum needs well drained gravelly soil and with us seems to grow best scrambling through a small shrub.
